This is a picture from The Book of Kells, the title of the artwork is Symbols of the Four Evangelists. The four Evangelist symbols being Mark (represented by the Lion), Mathew (represented by the Man), John (represented by the Eagle), and Luke (represented by the Calf). The four Evangelists are placed on all diagonals of a rectangle, with a cross dividing the rectangle into the four sections with the Evangelists in them.
